Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a primary care setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work collaboratively with physicians to provide high-quality patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments, diagnoses, and interventions in accordance with approved protocols.
- Develop and maintain a patient caseload, providing comprehensive care and services.
- Provide practice coverage for physicians during periods of absence.
- Prescribe various treatments and modalities to meet patient needs, including hospital admission and discharge.
- Serve as a role model and resource to clinical personnel.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nursing (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) or Physician Assistant Studies.
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience or 2 years' experience as an FNP in a primary care setting.
- Current Texas professional registered nurse license and Texas professional advance practice registered nurse license.
- Certification as a Pediatric or Family Practice Nurse Practitioner.
- Current Basic Life Support (CPR) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric primary/specialty or acute care setting experience.
- 2 years' experience in a related allied health field.
