Job Title:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Premier Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals. You will work closely with our radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures of diagnostic and therapeutic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages according to established protocols.

2. Evaluates diagnostic Nuclear Medicine studies for technical image quality and obtains clinical history and data for correlation with the Nuclear Medicine procedure.

3. Implements screening and safety measures in accordance with prescribed Nuclear Medicine safety standards and performs Quality Control/Quality Assurance as required.

4. Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals to the patient according to policy and practices sterile techniques.

5. Assists Radiologist in special procedures and in performing medical treatment during emergency situations and coordinates patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction.

6. Assesses learning needs and educates patients/families regarding procedures based on individual needs and thoroughly educates patients about exam.

7. Ensures that all records, files and reports are properly recorded as required and performs clerical duties when necessary.

8. Maintains knowledge of the locations and operation of all emergency equipment in the unit and follows radiation safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

•⁠ ⁠Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field

•⁠ ⁠Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Registered Technologist (RT)

•⁠ ⁠Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

•⁠ ⁠Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•⁠ ⁠Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
