Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for independently performing Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Work under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture.
  • Coordinate patient flow and the activities of the Nuclear Medicine department including radiation protection practices.
  • Exercise professional judgment in the performance of his/her duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs.
  • May have on call responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
  • 1 year experience in specialized field of Nuclear Medicine.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Nuclear Medicine registry required.
  • ARRT RT (R) registry required and/or NMTCB.
