Job Title: Senior Advanced Mechanical Engineer

Join Light & Wonder, a leading provider of gaming technology, as a Senior Advanced Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electro-mechanical products for our gaming division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electro-mechanical assemblies, parts, and systems for our gaming products.
  • Create parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software, considering factors such as function, cost, serviceability, and manufacturability.
  • Understand and apply diecast design and injection molded part design principles, as well as tooling processes associated with these types of parts.
  • Develop mechanical drawings, Bill of Materials, Assembly Procedures, and other documentation for product release.
  • Evaluate prototype products and designs for possible refinement through assembly and test.
  • Collaborate with key engineers and officials from other divisions and companies, requiring strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Apply creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment to anticipate and solve problems, determine objectives and requirements, and organize projects.
  • Mentor or lead lower-level engineers, designers, and technicians, demonstrating effective and efficient leadership skills.
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight years of design and development of high-level complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Ability to obtain a gaming license.
  • Extensive knowledge of theory, principles, and procedures of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Effective and efficient leadership skills.
  • Understanding of 3D CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with Bill of Materials and manufacturing processes; drafting experience or training required.
  • Knowledge of ECO release process using Agile or other equivalent PLM application.
  • Familiarity with basic shop equipment and hand tools used in assembly of prototypes.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
Education:

BSME or related field or equivalent work experience.
