Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Manager to join our Real Estate Cost Management team in Seattle, Washington. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in cost management, embedding, and promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure accurate and timely cost reporting to clients.
- Coordinate cost information to inform client decision-making and provide proactive cost management solutions.
- Review and validate monthly pay applications from contractors and vendors.
- Prepare and negotiate change orders with contractors and vendors.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and ensure timely payment to contractors and vendors.
- Provide input into value engineering exercises to optimize project costs.
- Ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed in a timely manner.
- Compile as-built cost estimate records for benchmarking purposes.
- 3 or more years' experience in the construction industry with a good understanding of cost management principles.
- College degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced skills with spreadsheets, charts, and presentations.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Drive to be proactive and self-motivated, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with project teams and clients.
- Experience with client-specific systems and estimating software, such as on-screen takeoff and Revit.
- RICS accreditation or working towards accreditation is valuable, but not required.
Turner & Townsend offers a competitive salary range of $65K-$145 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
