ROLE SUMMARY

The Cashiering Team serves as the welcoming face of our Market. Engaging with every customer, they ensure that each interaction leaves a memorable impression. Our cashiers are expected to be friendly, efficient, and precise, managing the checkout process, bagging groceries, and assisting customers as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process transactions swiftly, accurately, and with a friendly demeanor.
  • Familiarize yourself with PLU codes to enhance efficiency.
  • Identify various fruits and vegetables with ease.
  • Provide correct change to customers.
  • Ensure a smooth flow of customers at the register.
  • Bag groceries carefully to prevent damage during transport.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Count cash drawers accurately at the end of shifts.
  • Perform opening and closing tasks, including cleaning duties.
  • Assist in keeping outdoor walkways safe during winter conditions.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both customers and team members.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

This role involves collaboration with team members and direct interaction with customers, requiring effective communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be at least 16 years old.

Proficient in basic computer and math skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in retail grocery is beneficial, but not mandatory. This position offers a great opportunity to learn and grow in the industry.
