Job Summary

As a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will work under the supervision of a higher medical professional and provide medical care and treatment to our patients.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily sick call, administer treatments, and follow established protocols.
  • Provide emergency care for medical emergencies and coordinate patient transfers to appropriate facilities.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures, repair lacerations, and remove sutures.
  • Treat and manage non-psychotic behavioral health disorders and provide ongoing care for patients on maintenance doses of non-psychotic medications.
  • Participate in Quality Management and Peer Review activities, document findings using the S.O.A.P.E. method, and attend quarterly Quality Management meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Completion of a master's program in nursing (NPs) or an accredited education program for PAs.
  • Previous experience in a correctional or detention facility.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience.
  • Unrestricted current license, certification, or registration in the state of practice.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Current BLS and PALS certification through AHA.
