Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at Friends of Youth. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our buildings, facilities, and equipment. If you have a strong background in carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC, and are able to work independently with minimal supervision, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and prioritize daily tasks and maintenance requests to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Utilize your knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC to perform repairs and maintenance on buildings and equipment.
  • Oversee the work of third-party vendors and subcontractors to ensure high-quality results.
  • Monitor and inspect buildings and premises for fire, security, and health and safety issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Keep work areas clean and up to regulatory standards, and comply with all Labor and Industry and Health and Safety standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience and/or training required.
  • Experience and knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
