Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Contract Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. As a Contract Special Education Teacher, you will work with students with diverse learning needs, including those with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff to deliver effective instruction.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum and materials to meet the unique learning needs of students.
  • Provide direct instruction, interventions, and support services to students with disabilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and IEP goals.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders about student progress and needs.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other required meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid GA Special Education Teaching License.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including those with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
