At Graham Enterprise, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Facilities and Maintenance to join our team. This is a key leadership role that will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance, repairs, and construction across our network of gas stations, convenience stores, and car wash facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Maintenance Technician team and Maintenance Dispatch team, ensuring efficient processes and providing training to improve team performance.
  • Schedule maintenance projects, meeting budgets and deadlines while determining labor requirements and dispatching workers to facility sites.
  • Create and manage project schedules, providing periodic status updates to the project team and senior management.
  • Research and coordinate with third-party vendors to understand local entitlement processes and timing, preparing permit applications and gathering documents.
  • Manage construction projects, remodeling projects, and site maintenance, overseeing architects, engineers, construction managers, and general contractors to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Partner with Human Resources to resolve employment and disciplinary issues.
  • Review construction plans, specifications, submittals, and project documents, performing periodic inspections to ensure installations and maintenance work meet specifications.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning sessions with senior management.
  • Review invoices for major capital projects.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of GEI management, third-party consultants, local officials, and project-related personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in multi-site facility management in the fuel, convenience store, and car wash industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance and facility management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects from start to finish.
  • Operational experience required, with success in managing and developing teams.
  • Experience with interpreting and negotiating contract terms.
  • Adept at planning and coordinating construction and installation work for developing sites.
  • Ability to interface with client representatives and build/maintain productive customer relationships.
  • Experienced at tracking and reporting project progress to management and clients.
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining detailed, accurate, and complete documentation of maintenance activities.
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver assigned projects within established budget and schedule.
  • Excellent computer and software skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as job needs require, 50%.
