Job Opportunity

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to join our Mankato Accounting team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project agreements and establish billing terms to accurately invoice clients.
  • Identify, establish, and apply project-specific billing rates per agreement.
  • Utilize Electronic Invoice program to review billable labor and expense charged to projects.
  • Identify and resolve concerns to ensure accurate client invoicing.
  • Produce/update client payment forms, including MnDOT exhibits, progress reports, and pay claims.
  • Submit invoices through client-specified online portals.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in accounting or a closely related field.
  • Four (4) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with various bill rate methods, including fixed hourly rates, hourly cost plus, and lump sum.
  • DOT, County, government agency invoicing experience preferred.
  • Experience working for a professional services firm preferred.
  • Experience with Deltek or Deltek Vision software preferred.
