We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Materials & Process Engineering Department, you will be responsible for performing electrical component evaluations and root cause failure analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough electrical component evaluations, including external visual photo-documentation, electrical test, non-destructive troubleshooting, environmental testing, x-ray evaluation, destructive testing, decapsulation, cross-sections, internal visual photo-documentation, and scanning electron microscope (SEM) evaluation.
- Operate a range of laboratory equipment, including microscopes, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, LCR analyzers, curve tracers, semiconductor parameter analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, frequency generators, signal generators, power meters, hi-pot testers, megohmmeters, laser millers, plasma etchers, chemical jet etchers, bond puller, and other specialized tools.
- Research and investigate new failure analysis techniques to stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
- Work on multiple analyses concurrently, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines, such as materials and chemistry, to share knowledge and expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.
- Knowledge of reading electrical schematics and circuit analysis.
- Experience with electronic component failure analysis.
- Familiarity with component data sheets and drawings.
- Data collection and presentation skills to write a cogent report, supporting the analysis conclusion and presenting the data and findings.
- Experience using electrical test equipment.
- Technical working knowledge of electrical components and their application.

What We OfferWe offer a competitive salary range of $77,000 - $163,000, depending on experience.
