Job Title: Capital Project Engineer

Division: Advanced Materials

Location: McIntosh, Alabama

Reporting to: Regional Manufacturing Director

Job Scope:

  • Deliver engineering, construction, and project management assistance for capital initiatives.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, each with its own complexities.
  • Build and sustain professional relationships with project teams, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Supervise all phases of projects from planning through to execution.
  • Act as the primary liaison for project teams at the designated site.

Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to guarantee project success.
  • Oversee project scope and implementation on-site.
  • Efficiently coordinate data requests and evaluations.
  • Ensure precise and timely reporting on project progress.
  • Maintain safety standards throughout all stages of project development and execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in a comparable position.
  • Prior experience in project or construction management.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications and SAP is advantageous.
  • Experience in specialty chemicals or oil and gas sectors is beneficial.

Competencies:

  • Innovative thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Team effectiveness and adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
