Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Shasta Community Health Center. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history and physical examinations, to determine the best course of treatment.
- Order diagnostic tests and implement therapeutic measures as needed, always consulting with supervising physicians when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing education and answering questions to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Participate in medical staff meetings, PA/NP meetings, and other committees to stay informed and contribute to the development of our clinical programs.
- Maintain current licenses to practice medicine and provide proof of earned CME hours annually.
Requirements:
- Completed a nationally accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
- California license upon hire and maintain current without any limitations on license to practice.
- Current PA certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Inc., or NP certification through the American Nurses' Association.
- CPR certification upon hire and maintain current.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in an outpatient clinic or doctor's office.
- ACLS certification.
- BCLS certification.
