Research Associate, Transformative Justice

The Vera Institute of Justice is seeking a Research Associate to join our Restoring Promise team. As a Research Associate, you will support the development and implementation of research projects, including data collection, management, and analysis. You will work closely with senior research staff to design and conduct studies, and will be responsible for writing up results and integrating them into public-facing products.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct data collection and management, including qualitative interviews and surveys
- Analyze data using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Write up results and integrate them into reports and other public-facing products
- Present research findings at department meetings and external conferences
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, social science, or related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with mixed methods research and data analysis
- Strong writing and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the criminal justice system or with incarcerated populations
- Knowledge of participatory action research (PAR) approaches
- Experience with data visualization and presentation
