About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Ambercare, one of the largest Home Health Care companies in New Mexico. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech and language function, identifying areas for improvement and developing personalized plans of care.
  • Administer diagnostic evaluations and provide recommendations for communication devices and aids as needed.
  • Collaborate with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Provide direct speech therapy services to patients in their homes, monitoring progress and making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
Requirements
  • Certification of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
  • Licensure as a speech therapist in the state of New Mexico.
  • At least one year of experience in an acute care setting or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to make home visits and provide care in a home environment.
