Job Title: Speech and Language Pathology Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Ability Builders ABA Co. As a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Speech-Language Pathologists in providing high-quality therapy services to our clients.

Job Summary:

The Speech and Language Pathology Assistant will assist in supplementing, enhancing, and extending speech/language therapy services by completing a variety of tasks such as activities with clients designed to develop pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, vocalization, and use of assistive technology devices for communication under the supervision of the SLP.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for clients.
  • Conduct activities with clients designed to develop pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, vocalization, and use of assistive technology devices for communication.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, BCBAs, RBTs, and Special Education and Montessori Teachers as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
  • Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the department.
Requirements:
  • Active speech-language pathology assistant license issued by the state department of education (preferred) and/or state board.
  • Active American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Certificate (ASHA C-SLPA).
  • Two (2) years of speech/language work experience within a public-school setting OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
