Barry University's Center for Counseling and Psychological Services is seeking a part-time Staff Psychologist to provide mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and counseling-related services to University students.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Services: Provide short-term individual, couple, and group counseling to students presenting with developmental, psychiatric, and academic concerns.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide triage coverage and crisis intervention, including occasional after-hours crisis response.
- Case Management: Provide case management as needed.
- Consultation: Provide consultation to faculty, staff, and third-party stakeholders.
- Supervision: Provide weekly clinical supervision and training to advanced doctoral level practicum trainees and post-doctoral fellow.
- Meetings and Scheduling: Attend all staff meetings, one-on-one meetings, clinical team meetings, and other Divisional and University meetings as scheduled.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule appointments using Titanium Schedule.
- Clinical Notes: Complete clinical notes in a timely manner using Titanium Schedule.
- Policy Compliance: Follow centers policies and procedures consistent with state mental health statutes, ethical guidelines, best practices, HIPAA, and FERPA.
- Wellness Workshops: Provide wellness workshops and other educational outreach activities to the campus community.
- Campus Events: Participate in campus-wide events and activities.
- Education: Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology.
- Licensure: Must be Licensed in Florida as a psychologist.
- Experience: 3-5 years of work-related experience.
- Skills: Clinical note writing and email correspondence.
