Position Overview
The Construction Project Coordinator is tasked with overseeing project timelines and budgets while devising and executing technical solutions and construction techniques based on design specifications and visual information.

This role demands the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and requires strong organizational skills. Candidates should have hands-on experience in scheduling, effective communication, and wood/metal fabrication or general construction. Willingness to travel as project demands is essential. This position reports directly to the Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project cost estimates in collaboration with the Sales Team.
  • Coordinate and review all technical drawings with the CAD Department for shop builds based on designer layouts and visual aids.
  • Review detailed assembly and installation drawings for production use during load-in.
  • Research and procure materials and hardware necessary for the construction of designed units.
  • Maintain active communication with the construction team and manage shop production schedules in conjunction with the Shop Foreman.
  • Collaborate closely with department heads and subcontractors to achieve budgetary and scheduling objectives.
  • Engage with clients and shop supervisory staff throughout the design and construction phases.
  • Manage changes to project scope and assess budgetary impacts.
  • Track and report project costs against the budget.
  • Oversee safety and quality control measures.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience in technical theater and/or scenic fabrication.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, and MS Office.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to prioritize short- and long-term project objectives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative work ethic.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
