Quality Technician Overview

As a Quality Technician at Tufco L.P., your primary role will involve monitoring, evaluating, and documenting materials, processes, and products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Utilizing a variety of analytical tools and precision measuring devices, you will make informed accept/reject decisions based on established specifications. Reporting directly to the Operations team, you will receive daily tasks from the Quality Assurance/Control department.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for quality-related concerns
  • Make essential decisions regarding material quality
  • Oversee Quality and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data to implement immediate adjustments
  • Identify areas for improvement in product quality and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Manufacturing teams
  • Conduct evaluations of raw materials and finished goods
  • Support trials and experimental production runs
  • Assist in the training of new Quality Technicians
  • Perform inspections on the production line
  • Engage in special projects and problem-solving initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Strong mathematical and computer skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Quality Windows and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Experience with equipment operation and laboratory testing methods
  • Proven safety record and strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
  • Organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Positive mindset and eagerness to learn
