Job Title: Systems Administrator

Baskervill is a leading design firm with a strong presence in the industry. We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support our network operations, including cloud support, daily maintenance, network diagnostics/troubleshooting, and remote support for employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and install various network devices and services, including routers, switches, load balancers, and VPNs.
  • Monitor network performance, security, and ensure overall system availability and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot network infrastructure and resolve technical issues.
  • Support and maintain network connectivity across multiple sites as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with a team environment and provide Level 2 Support to assist employees with technical issues.
  • Perform daily system monitoring to ensure availability of all hardware and application resources.
  • Manage data backup operations to ensure all required file systems and data are successfully backed up and/or archived to the appropriate media and/or facility.
  • Apply OS and application patches on a routine basis.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for installation and configuration procedures.
Requirements:
  • 2-year degree in Computer Science, MIS/IT, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate IT, System/Networking Administration, or similar position.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Administration, network, Windows 10, and Microsoft Server.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory Administration, SharePoint, VMware, Power Automate/Apps, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Working knowledge of IT Security and Systems principles.
  • Proficient in working with different brands of Network Switching/Firewall and Router Architecture.
  • A+, Network+, and/or similar certifications highly preferred.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Strong understanding and experience supporting computer systems, mobile devices, such as iPads, iPhones, and other tech products.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, reach, kneel for extended periods, and lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
