Cardiac MRI Technologist Job Summary

The Cardiac MRI Technologist plays a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients at St. David's Medical Center. As a specialist in cardiac imaging, you will be responsible for performing MRI exams with precision and accuracy, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.

About the Role

This position requires a skilled professional who can operate MRI scanners and related equipment efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing MRI exams on patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics
  • Operating MR scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Completing quality scans in a timely manner, prioritizing workflow to meet urgent demands
  • Demonstrating expertise in scanning trauma, acute, and challenging patients
  • Producing studies that optimally demonstrate anatomy and disease processes
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Two years of cardiovascular MRI scanning experience or five years of general MRI experience
  • American Registry of Radiology Technologists certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT(MR))
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire
