Job Summary:

Hunt, Guillot & Associates is seeking a skilled Mechanical/Piping Designer to join our team. As a Mechanical/Piping Designer, you will be responsible for executing and reviewing complex engineering design projects, ensuring technical accuracy and constructability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and analyze general designs provided by engineers to ensure technical accuracy and constructability.
  • Prepare detailed designs for engineer approval, adhering to company standards and drafting techniques.
  • Create construction drawing packages using company standards and drafting techniques.
  • Develop layouts and estimates from job scope and vendor information.
  • Perform field verifications and P&ID walk-downs to ensure technical accuracy and constructability.

Requirements:

  • Technology training in Drafting and Design from an accredited school required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of refinery design experience required; 10-15 years preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, and AutoCAD Plant 3D Software required; 10-15 years preferred.
  • Ability to climb ladders, maneuver through pipe racks, and work at heights with a harness.
  • Local candidates preferred; per diem considered for highly qualified non-local candidates.
