Job Summary

Whole Foods Market - Clearwater is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Prepared Foods Associate Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our culinary and deli team, you will be responsible for assisting the team leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Work closely with the team leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, analyzing sales reports and labor data to inform decision-making.
  • Assist the team leader in resolving team concerns and issues, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Function as the point person and departmental leader in the absence of the team leader, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Set and achieve high standards of retail execution, consistently communicating and modeling Whole Foods Market's vision and goals.
  • Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel team members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
Requirements
  • 18+ months retail team member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for our products, core values, and company philosophy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
  • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
  • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions, use tools and equipment, and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
