Academic IT Instructor for Cybersecurity and Networking

The instructional responsibilities for this adjunct faculty position in the TECS Division will involve teaching IT Cybersecurity & Networking AAS coursework. The successful candidate(s) should possess one or more of the following Certifications: Certified Ethical Hacker, CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security, CyberOps Associate, and/or Cisco CCNA R&S. Familiarity with server administration and/or virtual machines is highly encouraged as well. The willingness to work cooperatively in a team setting in order to create and assess curriculum is a necessity. A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred for the position, however industry experience and/or certifications will also be considered. Teaching experience at the college level is highly desirable, especially experience in a community college environment. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a commitment to the community college philosophy, familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom, teaching strategies with a focus on student-centered learning, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work in a collegial setting within the division. Adjunct salary is based on the number of contract hours per semester, remunerated at the rate of $1,185 per contract hour in a semester.
