Job SummaryThis position is available at our 5-star facility, GSS SD Scotland Ctr. The successful candidate will work day shifts (10 hours) on a full-time basis, including every other weekend and holiday.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, the LPN demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles and provides care tailored to the resident's needs.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be able to establish effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public. They must also have the ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
In this role, the LPN will contribute to the assessment of residents, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
A minimum of a graduate degree from an accredited practical nursing program is required, with associate degree in practical nursing preferred. Additionally, the candidate must hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents of all ages.
- Contribute to the assessment of residents and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians or other licensed practitioners.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
