Quantum Devices Engineer

We are seeking a skilled R&D Engineer to join our team at Vector Atomic. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing optical, electrical, and vacuum systems. Your expertise will be crucial in developing ultraprecise quantum devices for various applications, including autonomous navigation, high-bandwidth satellite communications, and geophysical exploration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop optical, electrical, and vacuum systems
- Integrate electronics controllers with sensors
- Set up test equipment and automate data collection
Requirements
- Engineering degree and 3+ years of relevant work experience
- US export control laws require "U.S. persons" including U.S. citizens (born or naturalized), lawful permanent residents, and certain categories of refugees, and asylees
- Effective communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with lasers, optics, electronics, and/or vacuum systems in an R&D environment
- Laser and optical system prototyping
- Electronic test instrumentation
- Electromechanical design and assembly
- System integration and debugging
