As a Senior Structural Engineer at Carollo Engineers, you will be responsible for leading the structural engineering scope, schedule, and budget for successful project completion. You will perform quality management reviews of structural designs by others, work with designers to understand and resolve issues, and prepare estimates for cost and schedule of structural engineering services. You will also produce Contract Documents for construction of structures, conduct on-site investigations and evaluations of existing structures, and work with other project team members to understand and integrate their requirements into the structural design. Additionally, you will mentor and train staff and entry-level structural engineers, assist and coach CADD technicians in developing presentations of structural designs, and prepare and review opinions of construction costs for structural portion of projects.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis
* 10-15 years of experience, preferably in the design of water and wastewater treatment structures
* Registration as a Professional Engineer
* Expert in the application of building codes and code-referenced standards for design of water treatment and industrial structures in concrete, steel, and reinforced masonry
* Highly motivated self-starter with demonstrated experience working with minimum supervision to determine and complete structural engineering tasks while acting as part of a multi-disciplinary project team
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of specifications for construction using concrete, masonry and steel
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of presentation of structural design and detailing in construction documents
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of structural design codes and standards
* Skilled in organizing and coordinating work with both peers and subordinates, and in planning, monitoring, and completing projects within that plan
* Production and project management skills and experience
* Strong oral and written communications skills
* Proficient in public speaking roles
* Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Structural Engineering
* Experience with Microstation or AutoCAD
* Registration as a Structural Engineer
