Structural Engineer Job Description

Farnsworth Group is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Greenwood Village, CO (Denver Tech Center), Phoenix, AZ, or Frisco, TX offices. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design for building structures and related systems, developing construction documents, and providing construction administration services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural analysis and design for building structures and related systems
  • Develop construction documents and provide construction administration services
  • Perform site visits, client meetings, and coordination with the project team
  • Participate in business development and client-facing activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's (required) or Master's degree (preferred) in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in structures
  • 5-8 years of structural engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred
  • Experience with design and construction administration of building structures, preferably both new construction and renovation of existing structures
  • Experience designing with common construction materials: steel, concrete, masonry, and/or wood
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
  • Leadership qualities with ability to teach/train others
  • Revit proficiency preferred
