About the Role

Skytron is seeking a skilled Shop Technician to join our team. As a Shop Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test SkyVision equipment and pendants for shipment to customers
  • Correctly wire and test products that require modification to meet specific requirements
  • Diagnose and repair equipment in the Shop, including lights, tables, booms, monitors, warmers, washers, sterilizers, pendants, and SkyVision
  • Assess and repair products damaged in shipment, QC failure items, returned items, demo products, warranty evaluations, and loaners
  • Prepare products for shipment, including product crating, labeling, and staging
  • Process and close out completed work orders
  • Support and provide coverage for additional functions within operations, including Boom and UVC assembly when needed
  • Attend and participate in continuous improvement projects, team meetings, and huddles
  • Maintain a clean workstation and Shop area, according to established safety standards
Requirements
  • Capably handle required administrative functions
  • Verify work to ensure accurate results, requiring minimal rework
  • Follow work instructions, procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies
  • Meet productivity standards
  • Devise workable solutions or consult with secondary resources to devise solutions
  • Have a HS Diploma or equivalent, with ambition to further education
  • Have previous assembly experience, including basic computer and electronic components and processes
  • Possess a working knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Have previous experience with IFS or other ERP systems (strongly preferred)
  • Have the ability to obtain a hi-lo and picker license
  • Be able to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally and up to 50 lbs of force frequently
