Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to join our Art department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching art courses and contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach art courses to students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and creativity.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Fine Arts, Art, or Art History.
  • OR - Bachelor's degree in any of the above and Master's degree in Humanities.
  • OR - Equivalency: An official transcript documenting successful completion of any Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education and official transcripts documenting successful completion of 24 semester units in the discipline at the upper division and graduate level, a minimum of which must be 12 graduate level semester units.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching experience in art education.
  • Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
