Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor in Counseling to join our team at College of the Canyons. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in counseling and providing academic support to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in counseling, including theory, practice, and research methods
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with departmental and institutional goals
  • Provide academic support to students, including advising and mentoring
  • Participate in departmental and institutional committees and activities
  • Stay current with developments in the field of counseling and incorporate best practices into teaching and advising
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in counseling or a related field
  • Experience teaching courses in counseling or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
  • Commitment to student success and academic excellence
Working Conditions

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses on a semester-by-semester basis and participate in departmental and institutional activities as needed.
