Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Representative to support the COLUMBIA Class Program Office in Electric Boat. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of tasks, working closely with engineering managers and stakeholders to ensure successful execution, and providing regular updates to senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of tasks, including interfacing with various stakeholders, design, engineering, planning, finance, contracts, construction, and facilities.
  • Work closely with engineering managers and their staff to ensure successful execution of tasks, including project management and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Provide regular updates to NAVSEA stakeholders and senior management on task status, progress, challenges, and resolution plans.
  • Participate in a highly functional, interdisciplinary task team that adheres to quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Prepare and coordinate meetings to demonstrate progress, challenges, and resolution plans for program tasking.
  • Develop and analyze program metrics, identifying issues and leading required corrective actions.
  • Develop and help others to develop project execution schedules.
  • Resolve technical and funding issues to ensure roadblocks are removed.
  • Work closely with engineering task leads to drive solutions that support both technical and program objectives.
  • De-conflict competing priorities and manage program risk.
Requirements
  • Associates degree or above and a minimum of 4 years experience in a related field.
  • Project management and team leadership experience.
  • Internal Candidates Must Come From Organizations Outside Operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Strong understanding of Electric Boat's Planning, design, manufacturing, and test practices.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience managing a product through a ship design and construction life cycle.
  • Understanding of Ship Specification Development and requirements management.
  • Working knowledge of EVM.
  • Experience working with SUPSHIPs and NAVSEA is highly desirable.
