Position Overview:
Critter Control Operations is in search of a proficient and committed Wildlife Exclusion and Repair Technician. This position plays a crucial role in the safe and effective exclusion of wildlife from both residential and commercial properties, while also performing essential repairs to deter future wildlife intrusions.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in construction or similar fields, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to responsible wildlife management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
As a leading provider of wildlife management services, Critter Control Operations (CCO) specializes in wildlife removal, exclusion, and damage repair for various properties. Our goal is to deliver safe, effective, and responsible solutions to wildlife and pest challenges.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly wage: $21 - $23
- Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.

Daily Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of customer properties, both inside and outside, including roofs, attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas to identify potential wildlife entry points and vulnerabilities.
Install preventative exclusion materials such as screens, chimney caps, vent covers, and other barriers to inhibit wildlife access.
Perform minor repairs to roofs, siding, foundations, and other areas susceptible to wildlife entry.
Utilize trapping and relocation methods to safely remove wildlife from properties.
Maintain accurate records of services rendered, materials utilized, and customer interactions.
Provide detailed reports and review the completed scope of work with clients.
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with services provided and address any ongoing concerns.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is a plus.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, roofing, or related fields.
- The ability to work independently in the field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using various software applications; experience with Salesforce is advantageous.
Work Environment:
The role requires physical capability to perform the following duties with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Driving to various locations, often covering extensive territories.
- Frequent walking, standing, and navigating diverse terrains, including uneven ground, stairs, roofs, and occasionally slippery or muddy areas.
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.).
- Climbing stairs and ladders safely.
- Crouching, kneeling, bending, and stretching frequently.
- Carrying and using necessary equipment for inspections and minor control measures (traps, ladders, inspection tools, etc.).
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Clear verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
