Job Title: Industrial Hose Technical Customer Service Representative

This role is responsible for handling all essential duties and responsibilities of inside sales and customer service, with a focus on Industrial Hose products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building and maintaining excellent customer relationships;
  • Responding to all customer inquiries and requests received via various channels;
  • Providing technical assistance to customers, including part number identification and clarification, model code creation, and customer print/drawing reading;
  • Order entry, quotation entry, and RMA entry;
  • Credit memo creation and vendor returned goods authorizations;
  • Purchasing and expediting customer orders on a daily basis;
  • Acting as liaison between customers and vendors;
  • Handling customer objectives and resolving customer problems;
  • Taking ownership of customer orders/requests/problems from beginning to end;
  • Helping in building and maintaining vendor relationships;
  • Ongoing training on products and services provided by Triad Technologies;
  • Participation in efforts to streamline and make departmental processes better;
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor when working with internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma (or equivalent)
  • Three or more years of related work experience
  • Industrial Hose or industry experience preferred;
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills;
  • Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, effectively, and professionally with customers, vendors, and other Triad employees;
  • Reads and follows written work instructions;
  • Possesses strong mathematical skills;
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
  • Able to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Possesses accurate keyboarding skills for data entry;
  • Microsoft Office and Outlook knowledge;
  • Knowledge of Prophet21 software and other vendor computer systems preferred;
  • Individuals must score 70% or higher on the Mechanical Aptitude test.
