Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Educator to join our team at Bastrop ISD. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing students with a comprehensive education in mathematics, fostering a love of learning, and promoting academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS)
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional programs
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive learning environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
  • ESL Supplemental certification
  • Knowledge of curriculum design, implementation, evaluation, and refinement
  • Knowledge of effective instruction and evaluation methodologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students to achieve academic excellence
