Job Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Materials and Processes with a focus on metallic substances. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and execute a variety of engineering tests related to metallic materials, ensuring that the development of materials and processes adheres to the rigorous standards set by our organization.

Under the mentorship of senior technical leaders, you will be tasked with the creation and enhancement of material and process specifications across multiple projects. This includes authoring detailed specifications and reviewing essential documents such as part drawings and process guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct and coordinate comprehensive testing of metallic materials.
  2. Develop and refine specifications for materials and processes.
  3. Engage with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Engineering, and other departments to facilitate project success.
  4. Perform supplier audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Compensation: $68-$73 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution in a relevant metallic materials discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the aerospace sector.
  • Proficient knowledge of aerospace metallic materials, including Aluminum, CRES, and Titanium, along with their characterization.
  • Extensive experience in metallic material processing, particularly in vendor and industry auditing.
  • Familiarity with aerospace fasteners.
