Job Summary

  • Utilize digital X-ray film or fluoroscopic screens to capture high-quality images of the human body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position patients on examining tables and set up equipment to obtain optimal views of specific body areas as requested by physicians.
  • Process exposed radiographs using film processors or computer-generated methods.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
  • Perform medical assistant duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment, including X-ray machines and fluoroscopic screens.
  • Position patients on examining tables and set up equipment to obtain optimal views of specific body areas.
  • Process exposed radiographs using film processors or computer-generated methods.
  • Explain procedures to patients and obtain their cooperation.
  • Perform medical assistant duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology.
  • One-year certification in radiologic technology.
  • Active listening, speaking, reading comprehension, critical thinking, and operation and control skills.
