Key Responsibilities
In this prominent position, your main duties will encompass:
- Crafting tailored EM/IR solutions that effectively address accuracy and capacity challenges.
- Optimizing and automating the EM/IR workflow while taking full ownership of the process.
- Collaborating with various design teams (including Physical Design, Circuit Design, Power, Package & System, and Technology) to meet their EM/IR needs for diverse post-layout workflows.
- Partnering with EDA vendors and foundries for tool validation, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
- Proven hands-on experience with EMIR methodologies, CAD flow development, and industry-standard EMIR tools such as Redhawk or Voltus.
- Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language, including Tcl, Python, or Perl.
- Familiarity with other physical design or analysis areas, including RC extraction and timing analysis.
- Understanding of EMIR requirements for contemporary 3DIC or multi-die designs.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and over 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Ability to lead initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Hands-on experience with leading EMIR tools such as Voltus, VoltusFi, RedHawk-SC, and Totem.
- Experience in developing large-scale software in collaborative, multi-site environments.
- Practical experience in analyzing, optimizing, and resolving IR/IVD/Electromigration challenges in high-performance, large-scale designs.
- Expertise in physical verification, simulations, timing, and noise analysis.
- Experience with package designs and associated models.
- Knowledge of hierarchical EMIR analysis and transistor-level EMIR methodologies.
- Experience in ESD analysis.
- A Master's or PhD in a relevant field is preferred.
At Apple, base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specific range. This structure allows for growth as you advance in your role. The base salary range for this position is between $175,800 and $312,200, with your specific salary dependent on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
