Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist is a vital member of the medical team, responsible for ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. This role requires expertise in sterile and aseptic technique, as well as knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures
  • Ensure the operating room environment is safe and equipment functions properly
  • Work under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to implement sterile and aseptic technique
  • Combine knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D Operating Room Specialist)
  • Previous Surgical Technologist experience, preferred
  • Current Surgical Tech Certification, preferred
