Overview:

Novant Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Kernersville Medical Center. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package.

The Surgical Technologist will work under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. This includes ensuring the operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist surgeons and registered nurses in the operating room to ensure safe and effective surgical procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain a safe and clean operating room environment.
  • Operate and maintain surgical equipment and instruments.
  • Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D Operating Room Specialist).
  • Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
  • Current Surgical Tech Certification preferred.
