Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Services Manager to join our team at Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Hospital. As a key member of our hospital leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Environmental Services department, ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Environmental Services Staff: Direct and supervise the work of Environmental Services personnel to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of the hospital.
  • Develop and Implement Cleaning Schedules: Create and implement cleaning schedules to ensure that all areas of the hospital are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Manage Budget and Resources: Manage the Environmental Services budget and resources to ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment are available to support the department's operations.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all Environmental Services operations are in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred. Minimum of one year supervisory experience required; minimum of three years experience in all phases of housekeeping required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of hospital procedures and protocols required. Strong leadership and communication skills required.
