Internal Audit Department:
The Internal Audit Department (IAD) at Discover is dedicated to delivering insightful evaluations, utilizing specialized expertise, and providing a refreshing experience to all stakeholders. Our commitments are fulfilled by technically proficient professionals who are collaborative, diligent, and driven to consistently produce high-quality results in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. The Consumer Compliance Internal Audit team evaluates business operations and practices for potential non-compliance with relevant consumer laws and regulations. This team conducts audit assessments in a dynamic environment across a broad spectrum of regulatory topics, evaluating risk management frameworks, controls, and governance to offer insights to business partners regarding compliance risks.

Core Responsibilities:
- Execute assigned audits and audit tasks utilizing departmental tools and adhering to departmental guidelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes. Discuss findings and solutions with clients and audit leads.
- Develop comprehensive risk assessments and evaluate controls against industry best practices.
- Enhance skill sets through required training and by obtaining advanced degrees and/or certifications in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Management, Information Technology, Analytics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Applied Sciences, Engineering, Operations, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Regulatory Compliance auditing within an Accounting/Consulting firm, Financial Institution, or Regulatory Agency.
- Certifications such as Six Sigma, STEM, or Business, Risk, Compliance, or Audit-related certifications.
- CRCM, CPA, CIA, CFE, CAMS, or professional certificates from the American Bankers Association.
Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary for this position typically ranges between $65,000.00 to $109,000.00. Additional incentives may be included as part of a competitive total compensation package. Factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may influence the compensation for this role.
