About the Role

The Sales Manager is a critical position at ChemPoint, responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic plans to retain and grow global sales. This includes leading and supporting a global sales team, managing all aspects of the employee life-cycle for Account Executives and Industry Representatives, and defining and refining ChemPoint sales processes and sales roles.

Key Responsibilities
Establish annual and quarterly sales and sales pipeline targets for respective industries that integrate with overall business strategies. Participate in customer interactions to assist the sales team in retaining business and attaining new business. Set quarterly performance expectations and coach, train, and align employee performance to attain product line objectives and targets. Participate in recruiting and employee life cycle management planning to address key talent opportunities and risks. Align behavior and actions with ChemPoint culture by promoting energy, adapting to change, initiating innovation, leading with courage, and having fun. Demonstrate job competencies and remain accountable for performance in area of responsibility. Show interest in industry and global trends. Perform other related duties as required or requested.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a fully accredited four-year institution or equivalent work experience is required. Experience in business-to-business sales organization or 5+ years equivalent technical sales experience is necessary. Experience with customer and territory management, and knowledge of using PC and Windows OS, database experience preferred. Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills. Consultative selling skills, ability to exhibit versatility when interacting with customers, suppliers, and outsourced relationships. Effectively convey ideas and concepts via multiple modes of communication, including excellent telephone skills. Knowledge of ChemPoint products & services and the industries we serve. Understanding of ChemPoint IT applications, problem-solving, and negotiation. Ability to determine & establish appropriate collaboration and communication points (people, teams, organizational relationships) to achieve team advantages & customer-targeted solution. Align behavior and actions with ChemPoint culture by promoting energy, adapting to change, initiating innovation, leading with courage, and having fun.

Where You'll Work

Bellevue, WA or Houston, TX are preferred locations. We may consider applications from other locations.

Pay & Benefits

The salary range for this position is USD 109,500 - 164,300. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay. Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental. We also provide 401k matching for retirement and paid time off.
