We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our organization. This full-time role involves providing integrated mental health counseling services to individuals facing mental health challenges and co-occurring disorders.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients referred for mental health and substance use evaluations, offering tailored treatment recommendations.
- Deliver both individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate clients' recovery journeys.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and monitor clients' progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure effective care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, patient-centered care, coordinating with external agencies as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in social work, mental health, or a related field.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state.
- Strong knowledge of integrated treatment approaches for mental health and co-occurring disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:
- Experience in group facilitation and additional certifications in substance use disorder counseling.
- Familiarity with CARF standards and experience working with diverse populations.
This position requires the ability to engage with clients in a supportive and confidential manner, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations. The work environment promotes a culture of respect and inclusivity, valuing the contributions of each team member.
Core Hours: 40 hours per week, with standard hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and required availability for one evening per week.
