About the Opportunity
This Supervisory Clinical Professional position is a unique opportunity to join the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC) team. The incumbent will serve as the direct supervisor and rater to federal Advanced Practice Providers (APP) and provide leadership and oversight of APP onboarding and training.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex systems.
Responsibilities
- Serve as direct supervisor and rater to federal APPs.
- Provide leadership and oversight of APP onboarding and training.
- Participate in national APP training initiatives.
- Assist in credentialing and privileging processes.
- Oversee APP peer review processes.
- Augment clinical leadership in collaboration with the Clinical Director.
- Coordinate APP work schedules at IHSC sites.
- Coordinate regular on-site APP meetings and in-service training.
- Serve as Acting Regional APP or Acting Chief APP as required.
- Provide direct care to detainees via scheduled appointments, emergency or urgent care visits.
Requirements
- USPHS Commissioned Corps Officer or USPHS Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidate.
- Unrestricted Physician Assistant state license, national board certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant - Certified by a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territory of the United States.
- Graduate from a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $100,000 to $140,000 per year, depending on the officer's rank, years in service, and location of duty station. As a federal employee, you and your family will have access to a comprehensive benefits package.
