Job Description

As a Network Solutions Engineer, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of power systems communications. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge network solutions for our customers. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze customer requirements, develop technical approaches, and provide training and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve knowledge of power systems communications, including fiber optic, microwave, and spread-spectrum radio technologies.
  • Analyze customer requirements and create technical approach documents detailing hardware requirements and configurations.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to help customers apply SEL products effectively.
  • Apply principles, theories, and standard techniques to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Contribute to product specifications, application software, and literature.
  • Participate in SEL marketing and sales activities, industry technical meetings, and conferences.
  • Publish application guides, notes, and technical conference papers.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/Network related area.
  • Typically 1+ years of experience in power systems, industry practices, and communications.

Skills:

  • Ability to write and speak English coherently.
  • Listens carefully; provides positive, helpful, and professional communication to internal and external customers.
  • Takes on the challenge of unfamiliar tasks; experiments to find new solutions.
  • Creates a positive and motivating working environment.
  • Hands-on experience supporting multi-vendor platforms.
  • Ability to travel (30%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using SEL products.
  • Knowledge of Network security technologies and solutions.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
