Job Title: AK Licensed Staff Pharmacist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our pharmacy department in Wrangell, Alaska. This role is essential for ensuring safe and effective drug therapy for our patients while adhering to all federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and distributing medications according to legal guidelines.
  • Providing patient counseling and education on drug therapy.
  • Advising medical, nursing, and village staff on medication management.
  • Maintaining appropriate drug inventory and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Utilizing independent professional judgment for prescription filling and patient consultations.
Requirements:
  • Pharm.D. degree and licensure as a registered pharmacist.
  • Candidates licensed prior to 2003 with a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree will be considered with at least 3 years of experience in hospital and/or ambulatory clinic pharmacy.
  • Unrestricted license as a registered pharmacist in any state.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) preferred.
