Responsibilities:- Perform general support functions within the Specimen Processing Department, including data entry, A-station, presort, pickup, and delivery of processed specimens to the laboratory.
- Operate laboratory equipment, such as centrifuges and aliquoters, to process specimens.
- Work in a biohazard environment, adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, ensuring seamless specimen processing and delivery.
- Meet productivity and quality standards, adhering to departmental completion times and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; medical background or laboratory experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of computers and laboratory testing principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment, with a focus on productivity and quality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
