We are looking for a Surgical Technologist Trainee to join our team, ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality, efficient care to all patients. If you are passionate about patient care and teamwork, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Surgical Technologist Trainee, you will be responsible for ensuring that all surgical instruments and equipment are ready for use, maintaining organization and availability of supplies. You will assist healthcare professionals in providing care to patients undergoing surgery.
- Ensure that the necessary instruments and supplies are present in the surgical area and operating room.
- Support the sterile surgical team by performing scrub and circulating duties, along with routine housekeeping tasks.
- Apply principles of asepsis, infection control, and medical ethics.
- Facilitate the safe and effective execution of surgical procedures.
- Position patients correctly on the operating table and prepare the surgical site.
- Assist the circulating nurse in maintaining accurate counts of needles, sponges, and instruments.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
